2 “Tims” Tall

Just wanted to share this example of one of our recently finished bespoke cooling package. When we dont have a calibrated tape measure to hand, we have been known to measure our radiators in “Tims”. This unit is 2 “Tims” tall…..

Sponsorship

Broadland Radiators has agreed to become a sponsor of Norwich Rugby Club.

Rugby is a sport that prides itself on TREDS – Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship – and whilst these values do not appear at first to be directly translatable into a manufacturing environment these are values that the Company strives to demonstrate in all our works with our customers and suppliers alike.

Our MD, Darrell Roper, has some close links with the rugby club being a coach for the U13s and having two daughters playing in their own age groups so it is very pleasing to be able to further support the club.

One of our first acts was to sponsor the appearance of current England captain Poppy Cleall at the teams end of season celebration.

Work Experience

Kayleigh Roper, on her first day of work experience, being shown how we perform an air-under-water test on a completed radiator. Andrew and Tim doing a great job of explaining the process!

Remote Cooling Packages

In our continuing efforts to support the Power Generation market we have designed, manufactured and delivered the first of our remote cooling packages.

These cooling packages are perfect for applications where airflow is an issue allowing cooling of the engine where conventional radiators cannot be used. The package is designed and offered with all pipework to exactly match our clients engine connection requirements.

New Factory

Delighted to announce and confirm we have completed our move to our newly refurbished and kitted out factory.

The new location is on the very edge of the newly opened NDR which makes it easier to access for customers and suppliers alike.

New Starter – Mark Hackleton

Delighted to announce that Mark Hackleton has joined the team. Mark brings with him over 40 years of experience of designing and engineering high quality bespoke cooling packages – which makes him a perfect match for Broadland Radiators.

Broadland Statement – Covrad administration

Having been asked for comment by a number of people the Company would like to make the following statement.

“We have recently heard that Covrad has gone into administration. Having worked with Covrad for over 30 years we would like to firstly send our best wishes to all their staff in these uncertain times.

Fortunately our supply chain remains robust enough that none of our customers will be affected.

We recognise too that some Broadland Radiators customers may be affected by Covrads closure so we would like to say that we will continue to do our best to help our customers – whether old or new – with all of their radiator requirements. For customers used to the Covrad offering, Broadland Radiators stands ready to offer substantially equivalent product and support through our existing design teams, from our UK based manufacturing facility. See our Covrad page to read more about our ongoing support to customers with Covrad radiators.

Broadland Radiators design, manufacture and repair a wide range of cooling systems, radiators and heat exchangers. With over 50 years’ experience in developing bespoke cooling solutions we are a leading supplier of cooling packages.”

Merry Christmas

We would like to wish all of our customers, suppliers, friends and colleagues a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
2020 has been tough, on everyone. Particularly hard hit has been charities, clubs, etc. As peoples incomes are affected and businesses are hit hard by the ‘C’ word there is less financial support to go round to the numerous good causes that need help.
This year, we have put the money we would have spent on Christmas cards, hampers, postage, etc, to support our local girls rugby team who have worked so hard to give their members a bit of joy during this incredibly tough period.

Urgent Radiator Repair Service Available

At Broadland Radiators we understand that equipment not working offshore often causes downtime and significant losses. So when one of our customers had an incident leading to the failure of their radiator we were happy to be able to offer a fast and effective service, far exceeding our customers’ expectations.

Snap shot of timeline of radiator repair:

Monday – call confirms radiator is back onshore and available to collect from customer site from Tuesday AM

Tuesday 8:30 – we collect.

Tuesday 9:30 – unit back in to workshop, initial test and inspection.

Tuesday 10:00 – problem areas identified, customer quickly advised of our plan to fix.

Tuesday 11:00 – radiator repaired, pressure tested, all complete.

Tuesday 11:30 – cowl repaired. Immediate return to customer offered but repaint requested.

Tuesday 12:00 – cowl painted. Allow to dry overnight.

Wednesday 08:00 – cowl fitted to radiator, radiator despatched by our own transport.

Wednesday 09:00 – radiator returned back to customer, fully repaired and pressure tested.

Radiator collected, repaired, retested, repainted and returned in a little over 24 hours (would have been 4 without the paint!)

Thanks

Wanted to take a moment to thank our customers, suppliers and colleagues for all the support in ensuring we can operate safely and securely during these strange and challenging times.

A special mention to Sheryl and Andrew who have both celebrated significant work anniversaries (10 and 20 years respectively) during the month of May.
